Since a ceasefire was agreed between pro-Moscow separatists and Ukraine's government a month ago, most European leaders have focused on when the sanctions on Russia can be eased, with little discussion about making them tougher. But breaches of the ceasefire in eastern Ukraine have renewed Western diplomatic pressure on Moscow. 2014年10月8日5:29 Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in The Hague ahead of an appearance at the International Criminal Court (ICC) on charges of crimes against humanity on Wednesday. He will be the first serving head of state to ever come before the court. The charges concern his role in violence that followed the 2007 elections, in which more than 1,000 Kenyans were killed. The court upheld an appeal filed on the El Morro mine by the Diaguita community in northern Chile. The community said the mine, worth almost $4bn, could pollute a local river.
