In an online statement, the al-Qaeda-linked group called on jihadists around the world to target Western and Arab countries involved. Cy Tokmakjian, 74, was detained in Cuba in 2011 as part an anti-corruption operation. He denies the charges. The Tokmakjian Group said the court had seized its assets in Cuba, worth about $100m (￡62m). The chief minister of the southern state of Tamil Nadu was found guilty of amassing wealth of more than $10m (￡6.1m) which was unaccounted for.
